Yes, manage to sell my Shimano XTR 8 speed shifters model M910 via ebay.co.uk
Strange that i constantly get redirected to Ebay UK instead of maintaining it
at U.S as i have hoped for.Oh well it’s much better earning Pound sterling then
US dollar ma
My first sell on eBay & it was a good experience, just feeling excited that’s
all in this online thingy. Finally getting to grips with being an online trader.Although
i have sold a couple of stuff here & there via lelong.com.my,all transactions
via COD.And not to mention bicyclebuysell.com - also COD- except for 1 penangnite
who bought my Sigma Heart Rate monitor after a few emails,in which he did an
online transaction to my account.Yes,truely trade have long been borderless
since the advent of the internet - primarily eBay & Google
I have 1 more
XTR shifter to go posted on eBay.com hope it fetches a good price. Will hope
to do more trading via the net later on,will see ![]()

Cycling with friends on 16th June 07 was sort of a disaster.Rather then enjoying
a peaceful ride through our country’s queit backroads with hit the highways
instead. And worst was that i my friend suffered a puncture but bike shop was
nearby.I had to tune their bikes before the ride & while on our journey
made many pit stops to tune their bikes again.Although i manage to cover 50
KM on that day it was still not much of an enjoyment except for the camradarie. In
the end we all made it to the top of the hill that i was intending to take them
to ride, both Daniel & Phillip made it except Emmanuel was a flop, which
was either his bike or he’s just burnt out. That Saturday morning was beautiful,
it was cloudy throughout,if it was for me riding alone, I would have covered
90 KM on that day.Well, come this Saturday i’ll be heading up the hills my self.
After changing to 1.25 slicks i notice the vast difference in speed & friction.Manage
to hit 69 KM/h on that day of downhill, surely a thrill as it was too for the
newbies. And cycling uphill is a real enjoyment now as compared to the 1.5 knobbly
tires i had on. Hope to break more personal speed records with this MTB i have,
my personal best of top speed is 72 KM/h couple of years ago on this same hills
with my chromoly bike slicks. I’m quite confident that it would be broken soon, just
have to tuck in & minimize drag.. i love cycling too much,it’s just the
freedom i guess
But will be alternating between the sports like running &
swimming. Running would be the base as it’s the fastest route to fitness.Hope
to shed a couple of more pounds.

First of all i like films based on true stories,& this Flying Scotsman yet
to be released movie based on Graeme
Obree’s achievement with no budget/sponsor.It’s not a rags to riches story
because i understand that he is now doing some gardening for a living.
But heck to me when i saw the trailer,it was quite inspiring. It’s a good cyclist
movie:)
Found some interesting reads with regards to this movie Graeme’s
interview
You can watch this trailer at youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7upvpUId6i8
What i can sum up from some postings of this character - Obree is that he was
trying to escape from his depressive situation, but aren’t we all
He dared
to dream & his determination & smarts took him there. Well as for me
i’ll be sticking with the daily humdrums of life

Talking about frugality,i am one of those for the pass few months.Mostly on
bike related stuff, and as of today i spent another RM 200 on a bicycle headlight
plus degreaser for my bike. Then another RM 200 for cousins wedding - this is
necessary
Well i guess my bike spending will dwindle soon as i spend on other things.Darn
i dont know if you can say it is bad,but i guess i need those things & have
use for it.Well will watch it, maybe cut down on eating
And today as i went for a morning run with my friend Den in Bandar Tun Razak,
i trailed badly behind him & eventually stopped while he continued on.I
dont know why i cant do the trail, reason could have been i was feeling super
duper sleepy even as i huffed & puffed. And yes i needed to unload
prior to the run, but was getting late-but he even came later..darn that could
be the problem- always do your business before your excercise
Wanted to swim after the run but the pool was occupied with the Wilayah swimming
competition that day.
So here’s my verdict on cycling & running & swimming. Personally i find
running being the most difficult of them.Because the pounding your body take, being
light surely helps & it pumps your heart at a constant rate much faster.
Swimming is also a good total body workout, really relaxing as we humans tend
to like water - i feel it’s very therapeutic.
Cycling for me is more on the stamina building, long hours on the saddle, the
scenic routes & taking in the blaring hot sun is not so nice.I understand
that the western world & some parts of the world have the best wheater to
cycle in,Canada comes into my mind, although i havent been there.Oh well Malaysia
will do

Spurning Jakarta incentive trip, i have decided not to go on this free incentive
trip with airfare & accommodation sponsored. My main reason not going would
be because it’s on Sunday till Tuesday.And it’s another 3rd world place,only
thing Malaysia is much better
Well & personally i will not want to part
with much money on travels again.Rather spend it pimping some other things i
have in mind.
I have to pimp my room, pimp my bike, pimp my wardrobe and a little here &
there. So it’s a no go although it would make my passport look more occupied
Will be waiting for the next Mega Sale in Malaysia starting from July 1 2007
for 11 weeks. I would have loved to go down to Singapore for the Mid Year Sale
which i hear have great price slash on branded stuffs.Oh well being a patriotic
Malaysian, guess i’ll spend my money in Malaysia instead…haha

The most useful command that i’ve ever used is GREP, this command will help
you locate anything on your unix system and display the results in a output
designated by you. It’s the best…therefore of late being stuck with some limitations
in doing things manually to locate certain files in unix which i’m still learning.
I finally found this script of the net & it helped a tonne: will post it
here for future reference:
du -hc * | sort -n | grep "[0-9]M" | tail
The code above helps to search through the files in specified folder
& display the files in order or smallest size in MB to the largest.
Thank God for grep
